<p>The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will implement a single-window system across its 75 zonal offices to ensure easy processing of applications for Ganesha pandals during the Gauri Ganesha festival.</p>.<p>“Committees comprising officials from the BBMP, police department, BESCOM, and Fire and Emergency Services will be set up at all 75 zonal offices. These centres will function as single-window units where all permissions related to Ganesha celebrations can be obtained under one roof. Devotees planning to install Ganesha idols may visit their respective single-window centre to secure the necessary permissions,” the BBMP said in a statement.</p>.<p>Additionally, as in previous years, the BBMP will make arrangements for idol immersion at selected lakes and set up temporary mobile immersion tanks across the city.</p>.Bengaluru: PoP idols return ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi despite ban.<p>BBMP Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao urged citizens to avoid installing idols that may contribute to air or water pollution. He also emphasised the importance of maintaining peace during the Gauri-Ganesha and Eid Milad celebrations, assuring that any issues raised by the public would be addressed in a timely and effective manner.</p>.<p>Speaking after a coordination meeting with various agencies, including the BBMP, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh said that appropriate measures have been initiated based on public feedback and suggestions received during the planning phase.</p>.<p>“As in previous years, all efforts are being made to ensure peaceful and harmonious celebrations without any inconvenience to the public,” <br />he said.</p>.<p>He urged the public to strictly follow the instructions issued by the BBMP and Police Department regarding processions and other festival-related activities.</p>.<p>“Cooperation from the public is essential to avoid traffic congestion. Traffic police will take necessary steps to ensure smooth vehicular movement,” he said.</p>.<p>He also advised organisers to avoid installing idols in the middle of roads and instead identify suitable locations to ensure the public is not inconvenienced.</p>
