Bengaluru gets rain after six months, more showers predicted in the coming days

After experiencing dry weather for the last six months, Bengaluru finally received rainfall on May 2 bringing relief to the parched Bengalureans. As per Varuna Mitra, the city recorded 4.3 mm of rainfall at 8.45 pm on Thursday.

Bengaluru finally received its first showers of rain after six long months of dry weather.

Although there was initial excitement, it was soon dampened by a series of issues caused by the heavy downpour.

One common problem was extended power failures that affected numerous areas in the city.

Traffic disruptions were reported throughout the city.

Waterlogging was also reported from the Ramamurthy Nagar underpass on the Outer Ring Road, causing traffic disruptions.
