Bengaluru Iskcon protests 'Hindu persecution' in Bangladesh

Bengaluru: Iskcon on Sunday held a peaceful protest on the Hare Krishna Hill, Rajajinagar, to express solidarity with the minorities being "persecuted" in Bangladesh. 

The protest was held as part of the sankeerthana, "a peaceful demonstration of the pain and grief of the global Hindu community, held across the world in solidarity with the Hindus of Bangladesh", according to a statement. 

Iskcon members said: "Temples are being targeted, and the followers of Sanatana Dharma are under serious threat in Bangladesh. The mob also killed many people. Such attacks on the Hindus and other minority groups in Bangladesh have been going on. This needs to stop."  

Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swami of Pejawar Mutt and hundreds of devotees took part in the protest.
