The premonsoon showers and thunder storm are likely to continue for the next two days, according to Meteorological Department director A Muthuchami.
The city received light showers on Saturday evening. The rainfall recorded in the city un to 8.30 pm was 1.8 mm and the maximum temperature was 32.3 degrees.
