Cash stolen from shop

The Yelahanka police have registered a case of theft after a thief broke into a shop and made away with cash. The incident occurred on Bazaar Street in Yelahanka on Sunday night. The thief tried to break into at least seven shops using a crowbar, but managed to get into only one of the shops and made away with Rs 4,500, the police said.

The incident came to light when the shopkeeper came to open his shop on Monday morning. He informed the police who rushed to the spot. Several shopkeepers complained that police were not patrolling their area properly.
