Last Updated 14 July 2017, 19:53 IST

In a mood for some sweet bites or Continental food and don‘t know where to head to? If you’re in Fraser Town, think no further as ‘Sherlock’s Cafe’ with its great choice of baked goodies and sumptuous food is the right place to head to.

Be it themed desserts like the ‘Patriotic pastries’ or other interesting ones like the ‘Mint chocolate chip cupcake’, there is a wide variety to choose from. Raji Kanadam, a partner at the cafe, says, “We have artisan bread and sandwich/wholewheat bread too. From simple cookies like ‘Cashew masala’ to gourmet ones, there is a lot to pick from.”

The cafe also serves items like pasta and pancakes. “The ‘Blueberry pancake’ and the ‘Choco chip pancake’ are a hit. The best part about it is that we use fresh blueberries and don’t use preservatives or outsource anything. Even the sauces for the pastas are made in-house,” she says. The ‘Chicken pasta’ and the ‘Penne in Alfredo sauce with cherry tomatoes’ are other hot picks here.

One can also opt for ‘Hashbrowns’ and ‘Garlic bread’ as quick bites. An interesting item on the menu is the ‘Loaded pizza fries’ - fries loaded with pizza toppings - which is a must-try. There are also different options in burgers like the chicken burgers and the ‘Veg burger’ as well as sliders.

For those who would like to indulge in a healthy wholesome meal, the ‘All Day Eggs’, plain or scrambled, served with toast and butter are available.

The cafe is also a haven for those with a sweet tooth. The ‘Carrot cake with cream cheese’ will simply melt in your mouth. “One can also order our unique gourmet cakes and themed speciality cakes. We love giving a twist to every dish that we serve and keep trying new things,” Raji adds.

The cafe also has wonderful beverages to go with your food. “Our iced teas are a favourite with people. The season calls for ‘Hot chocolate’, which is a top choice here,” she says.

Youngsters and professionals like to frequent the place. “The open-roof space provides a great ambience for just chilling out or dining with family and friends,” says Raji. The cosy cafe can seat upto 40 people. It is open from 9.30 am to 9 pm all through the week. ‘Sherlock’s Cafe’ is located at 13/2, Buddha Vihar Road, Fraser Town.
