<p>Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has appointed D K Suresh, former MP and brother of Deputy Chief Minister <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/d-k-shivakumar">D K Shivakumar</a>, as a member of the Greater Bengaluru Development Authority (GBDA).</p>.<p>The authority has been tasked with developing a 9,000-acre township in and around Bidadi and regulating growth across 92 sqkm.</p>.<p>Along with Suresh, the government has named Ananth Theertha, a Rajajinagar resident, as a GBDA member.</p>.<p>This is separate from the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), the recently formed apex agency coordinating with smaller municipal corporations.</p>
