It may not be far off when the bride in an Indian wedding too sports an Indo-Western wear. <br /><br />Metrolife spoke to fashion designer Anuradha Paul and asked her to talk about Indo Western wear in a little more detail and delve into the mode of styling as well. <br /><br />It might sound a bit quirky but the concept of Indo-Western wear is fast catching up among the young in the City. It is all about mixing and matching Indian designs with a Western garment. It could be a Western silhouette with Indian design or vice versa. Talking about the possible variants, Anuradha Paul says fishtail skirt as a lehenga with Indian embellishment is something people wear for weddings. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Anuradha says Indo-Western wear is one among the easiest to pair. She observes a skirt could be given an Indo-Western look when it’s paired with a spaghetti and perhaps a kurti with leggings or may be one could wear a skirt with spaghetti with a dupatta. “For a party look, you can use a long skirt with Indian motif on it and pair it with a Western corset which would give a classy and stylish look,” says Anuradha. A pair of pants can be worn with just about anything- tops, kurtas, spaghetti.... Talk about innovation and the list is endless. “Skinny tight pants with a light coloured short skirt and a short top looks trendy,” adds Anuradha. <br /><br />Anuradha suggests that old tops and pants could be recycled to look brand new. “If you have old tops, try pairing it with junk jewellery or long neck pieces that come in bright colours. You can also pair it with waistcoat or a short jacket. Unfinished edges are also in fashion so try cutting the edges of the sleeve to give a raw finish,” she says. <br /><br />For a more casual look, Anuradha suggests skirts and pants with simple slip-ons or even a short skirt that can be paired with tie up sandals.<br /><br />No Indo-Western wear is complete without jewellery. It lifts the garment and gives it a different interpretation altogether. <br /><br />Not just any jewellery, only junk jewellery does the trick. “For a casual look, wear junk jewels.
