Four held for plotting to kill jeweller

The Central Crime Branch of Bangalore Police on Wednesday nabbed four youths who were allegedly planning to rob and kill a jeweller, who owns a shop at Jai Maruthi Nagar.

According to police, Bhaskar (34) of Jai Maruthi Nagar and Ashwin Kumar (29) of Prakash Nagar, Roshan Doddamani (19) of Sedam Road in Gulbarga and Anil Kumar (19) of Teganur village in Gulbarga, are the arrested. The police have recovered two pistols and nine live cartridges.

The youths admitted that they worked for Srinivas alias Thikkal Krishna and Santosh, who are in Gulbarga jail. On their instructions, they hatched the plan to rob and murder the jeweller. Srinivas and Santosh allegedly helped them to acquire illegal fire arms, the police said.
