Four held for rowdy's murder

The City police have cracked the recent murder case of notorious rowdy Karthik alias Lodde and arrested four of his associates.

Karthik, 22, was hacked to death in broad daylight on November 17 at J C Nagar. Mahesh alias Mylari, Suresh, Vijaykumar and Nitin are the arrested. All the four were associates of Karthik and were involved in collecting hafta and extortion.

The four had started to collect hafta on their own after Karthik was arrested and sent to jail in connection with another murder case.

After coming out of the jail, Karthik warned the four of dire consequences if they did not part with the money collected in his absence.

Enraged by this, the four hacked Karthik to death, said the police.
