<p>Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Urban district health officer has identified close to 58 hospitals, clinics and laboratories that have violated the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments (KPME) Act, 2007. </p>.<p>Nearly 14 of them were levied a penalty, amounting to Rs 6.15 lakh. An FIR has been filed against five other establishments. </p>.<p>The cases were presented during the KPME Registration and Grievance Redressal Authority meeting on Wednesday. Of the 58 cases, 27 are yet to be heard and are slated for the next meeting. </p>
