<p>Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced an increase in the monthly medical examination allowance for KSRP personnel from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500. </p>.<p>He also inaugurated the new KSRP convention centre at Silk Board Junction on Wednesday. </p>.<p>The facility was built by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) after the previous centre near Nagawara was demolished to make way for the metro's Blue Line. </p>.Hand over all 45 acres to BMRCL: Shobha writes to CM again.<p>Siddaramaiah said their mission wouldn't end until a young woman could walk the streets at midnight without fear. He also commended the Special Action Force and promised necessary funds to make the city crime- and drug-free. </p>.<p>Home Minister G Parameshwara said that the Bengaluru police had set up state-of-the-art command and control centres that can dispatch forces within nine minutes — an initiative inspired by the London police, where response times are under seven minutes. This rapid-response system later came to be known as "Hoysala".</p>.<p>He also mentioned 30 'Safety Islands' across the city, where citizens can alert command centres at the press of a button. </p>
