New mining policy soon, says Moily

A new regulatory authority is being formed by the government which will act upon the mining policy, he said.

Speaking to the media persons in Mangalore on Sunday, he said that ban on export of iron ore in Karnataka would adversely affect the steel industry. The ban on iron ore export cannot stand for a long time, he said. 

Meanwhile, he informed that a national level exporters’ meet will be organised in Mangalore in the month of November. The Director General of Foreign Trade has agreed to organise the meet in Mangalore and the meet will address the problems, scope and requirements of exporters.
