<p>A 36-year-old Nepali woman was arrested on Monday at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) after she arrived from Hong Kong.</p>.<p>Krishna Maya Thapa, was trying to board a flight to Hyderabad. During documents verification, immigration officials suspected her nationality following which they interrogated her. She was subsequently arrested for providing false information to procure Indian documents.</p>.<p>Thapa came to India in 2002 to work and settled in Hyderabad. In 2007 she married Shankar Bahadur Bashnat, a local resident. In 2013, she obtained a voter ID card, stating her birthplace as Hyderabad, and using that, she obtained an Indian passport, said Ravi Shankar, the immigration officer.</p>.<p>Later, Thapa went to Hong Kong to work and returned to Bengaluru on Monday. She was handed over to the BIAL police.</p>
