Sale of liquor will be banned in bars, wine shops, pubs and all types of outlets selling liquor in Viveknagar police limits from Friday 10 am till Saturday 10 am in view of a religious procession to be held to mark Sri Rama Navami celebrations.
Anti-social elements might make use of the situation to spread violence. Hence, DCP (Central) Sandeep Patil submitted a report to the City Police Commissioner recommending a ban on the sale of liquor.
