<p>Bengaluru: Top government officials met on Tuesday to finalise the finer details of restructuring the <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/bbmp">Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) </a>into smaller corporations.</p>.<p>The meeting, held ahead of an all-party interaction, involved simulating and iterating new corporation boundaries to balance multiple factors.</p>.<p>IAS officers Tushar Girinath, Additional Chief Secretary of the Urban Development Department; M Maheshwar Rao, BBMP Chief Commissioner; and Munish Moudgil, Special Commissioner of Revenue, BBMP, attended the meeting along with members of the Brand Bengaluru committee, it is learnt.</p>.Karnataka govt constitutes new disaster management authority under BBMP.<p>With the government planning to issue a draft notification on the new boundaries by July 15, officials worked on fine-tuning geographical limits to balance property tax, size and population density, and minimise fragmentation of assembly constituencies, unless unavoidable.</p>.<p>Once the boundaries are firmed up, the government will hold a meeting with all Bengaluru-based legislators before placing it before the state cabinet for approval. Bengaluru is likely to get new corporations by August 25.</p>
