<p>Bengaluru: A two-day 'Festival of Humanity: Shantinagar Udyoga' mela (<a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/business-job-careers-news">job</a> fair) is set to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday at Nandan Football Ground, Austin Town.</p>.<p>The event is organised by Shantinagar MLA and Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) Chairman NA Haris in collaboration with the Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, and Livelihood Department.</p>.<p>The mela will feature over 26,624 job openings from 116 companies. For the first time, the event has been fully digitised through a dedicated portal developed by the Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) at udyogamela.skillconnect. kaushalkar.com, allowing seamless registration for candidates and employers.</p>.<p>Special provisions have been made to facilitate job opportunities for differently abled candidates, and no participation fees are being charged for either employers or job seekers.</p>.Meaningful dialogues make for best performance reviews.<p>Addressing the media, Haris and KSDC Chairperson Kantha Naik said that as of January 5, 1,672 candidates have registered online.</p>.<p>A breakdown of the data shows that most applicants possess higher education qualifications, with 555 holding undergraduate degrees, 442 BTech/BE degrees, and 451 postgraduate degrees. This underscores a trend of higher unemployment rates among highly educated youth.</p>.<p>Of the 26,579 jobs available, 3,995 are white-collar positions, while 22,584 are blue-collar roles.</p>
