Plaza concourse opens on MG Road

 The entrance to Plaza concourse, on Mahatma Gandhi Road side, was finally thrown open on Monday, which will enable people to walk over and exit to the otherside of the metro station, avoiding the onrush of speeding traffic below, to mark the third anniversary of Namma Metro operations. 

The concourse was partially operational with escalators, however, ticket counters were not, so also, entry from Church Street which is yet to see completion.

The low key affair, saw BMRCL Director (Finance) M Naveen Kumar inaugurating the M G Road side entrance, hoping the public would utilise the facility.
 
Chief Engineer (Reach I) N P Sharma said the work on Church street Side entrance would also be completed shortly.

In due course, Plaza concourse will have restaurants, retail shops, besides newspaper vending machines at all stations.

Plaza concourse had missed earlier two deadlines.
