Noticing unauthorised parking and piling up of garbage around the Bangalore Turf Club, the BBMP has directed the BTC to regulate illegal parking around its premises and maintain cleanliness along the Race Course Road.

Following complaints by locals to the ward committee, BBMP Commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad reminded in his letter to the BTC secretary that several ministers, MLAs, VIPs and foreign visitors often travel on the Race Course Road.

"The locals had complained to the ward committee about the pile-up of garbage thrown by those who park vehicles in the vicinity. Subsequently, it was decided in the ward committee to regulate parking on the Race Course Road and Race Course Circle to maintain cleanliness," the commissioner said in his letter.

Prasad also directed the BTC officials to regulate parking of vehicles along the road and at Race Course Circle and ensure cleanliness. Any violation will be dealt with severely as per the law, he cautioned.
