<p>The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police arrested five associates of notorious rowdy Nagaraj alias Pitta and Silent Sunil and recovered lethal weapons from them.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Anand, 25, Ravi, 24 and Vinod, all from Malleswaram, Chandrashekhar, 23, of JC Nagar and Nagaraj, 34, of Parvathipuram are the arrested. Preetham, another suspect managed to escape.<br /><br />On a tip-off, police arrested them near Kannada Sahitya Parishat in Chamarajpet when they were hatching a conspiracy to murder their rival gang members Prashanth, Thimma and their associates.<br /><br />Police said Nagaraj was wanted in a murder case, four attempts to murder and two assault cases, while Anand faces charges of double murder and a murder, police said.<br /><br />BMTC passenger killed<br /><br />A 24-year-old passenger of a BMTC bus who peeked out of the window of the moving vehicle, was killed when his head hit a parked goods vehicle in Hebbal police limits on Monday.<br /><br />The deceased was identified as G P Harish, a resident of Hoodi. <br /><br />A native of Tarikere in Chikmagalur district, he was supervisor at a private firm. The driver of the bus is at large, police said.</p>
