<p>Bengaluru: The Seshadripuram Institute of Commerce and Management held its orientation and merit scholarship distribution ceremony on Wednesday at the Chowdiah Memorial Auditorium.</p>.<p>The event welcomed newly admitted first-year degree students and felicitated those who scored above 90 and 95 per cent in II PUC.</p>.<p>Dr K Gopalakrishnan, General Secretary of the Indian Technology Association and also the chief guest, stressed the importance of discipline and hard work, urging students to complete their degrees with dedication and build a successful future.</p>.<p>Dr Wooday P Krishna, General Secretary of the Seshadripuram Educational Trust, was also present.</p>.26 years after establishment, Bengaluru's Kristu Jayanti gets university status .<p>Seventy students were awarded merit scholarships, totalling Rs 16 lakh.</p>.<p>Henjarappa, Vice-President of the Trust; MS Nataraj, Joint Secretary; Prof KP Narasimhamurthy, Chairman of the College Governing Council; and Principal Prof Vidya Shivannavar attended the event.</p>
