<p>About 30 stray dogs were poisoned to death at Telecom Layout in Kodigehalli on Friday. A complaint has been filed by animal welfare officer Harish K B, and the Kodigehalli police have filed an FIR in the incident.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“We just don’t want an FIR to be filed, but we want the police to trace the miscreants and punish them<br />for the heinous act,” Harish said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">According to a few residents in the area, the stray dogs were not causing trouble, except for barking at strangers in the area.</p>.<p class="bodytext">A resident claimed that the suspects poisoned the dogs so they wouldn’t bark at them if they attempted to rob houses in the area.</p>.<p class="bodytext">According to the resident, most of the dogs, including puppies, were found dead on the road.</p>.<p class="bodytext">One dog was taken to the Veterinary Hospital in Hebbal.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The resident also slammed the apathetic attitude of the BBMP and the police as the carcasses were still lying on the roadside.</p>
