<p>Bengaluru: The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), part of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research under the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India, recently carried out several voluntary activities under the Swachh Bharat Mission in the city. </p>.<p>Employees of NCBS cleaned the Allalasandra Lake park and collected and disposed of 30 bags of plastic waste.</p>.<p>They also cleaned the premises and toilets of the Thindlu Primary School. The NCBS team, along with students of Thindlu, collected several bags of plastic and garbage from the school premises and surrounding areas. </p>.<p>They cleaned the area around GKVK and NCBS. More than 83 bags of garbage were collected and disposed of.</p>.<p>As part of the campaign, they organised a painting competition for the Thindlu government schoolchildren to create awareness on cleanliness and hygiene. As many as 300 schoolchildren participated. </p>
