The Vrishabhavati flyover, which links Pattanagere to Mysuru Road in western Bengaluru, was  opened to the  public on Saturday.

Built at a cost of Rs 5 crore, the flyover  will help travellers from the Global Village Tech Park.

"I had inspected the work during the flash floods a few months ago.  The flyover is now ready for use," Bengaluru Development and Town Planning Minister K J George said after inaugurating the grade separator.

Mayor R Sampath Raj and senior officials were present at the programme.

During the day, George also inspected the Delmia junction flyover, which is part of the  signal-free corridor, and said it would be  opened to the public  on February 25.

The flyover will cut the travel time between Mysuru Road, Central Silk Board junction and Bannerghatta Road.
