While one constantly recognises and realises the changing trends in dining out and having an unforgettable experience over food and drinks, The Vault Cafe, by Umang Tewari, in Connaught Place (CP) wistfully follows the same.

As soon as the weekend arrives, city roads are filled with youngsters, all in search of a new, quirky and funky place to hang out in. The quest for something ‘different’, for a place where everyone’s favourite music is played, a place whose ambience treats the visitors with a cherishable experience, is always on a constant.

For that matter, CP is filled with numerous cafes and bars, offering Delhizens with multiple options to add on their check list.

On the way to Vault, we have My Bar Headquarters, Nandos and Boombox. While we have different chains opened across the city for these cafes, Vault is still yet to come with more. Thus, apart from its hype on social media, one has more reasons to step towards the lift that takes you to the Vault, and frankly, it is worth a visit.

To start with, the place houses five differently sized vaults, each with a private ‘captain’ who serves you as your personalised bar-tender for the evening. They also have a dining area and an open terrace, not only providing extended sitting capacity but also offering
different ambiences to cater to different moodsfor public.

As Tewari tells Metrolife, “the dream is to sell different concepts and introduce a whole new culinary experience to customers. The concept behind this cafe, as the name suggests, is inspired from the British Era.”

Speaking of its newly introduced ‘Global Cuisine’ menu, the cafe comes up with an exquisite variety of dishes inspired from cuisines all over the world.

From Korean Beef Bulgogi, a stir fried savoury beef dish to Pakistan’s famous lip smacking Nihari which is a slow cooked lamb stew, Malaysian – Laksha Chicken, Lebanese shish tawaok and hummus and French Chicken Cordon Bleu, a classic mixture of Ham and Cheese, the menu has special dishes from every corner of the world.

For drinks, they have recently come up with refreshing Summer Cooler Cocktails, Mocktails and Monsoon Bluers. The coolers are made from blends of fruits like melon, kiwi, mango, litchi, cucumber and coconut.

Amongst its specials, Mai Tai priced at Rs 345 is a good pick. A mild mixture of Dark and Gold rum with a tinge of lemon juice and orange curacao, the bartenders serve it with glassful of coconut air, making one tempt to gluttony to try it.

The enticing Vault No 1857 at the same price, is another option to be checked on from the bar menu.Meanwhile, the cafe’s facebook page and innumerable selfies pretty much
sum up what an experience at Delhi’s Vault Cafe would be like.
