Bidari blames Assembly security staff for ruckus

Bidari, in his report to the DG & IGP has said that the  ruckus ensued due to negligence and failure of Assembly Marshal, his watch and ward staff and officers of the Assembly Secretariat.

The Commissioner said he in the meeting, convened by the Chief Minister on security measures near Vidhana Soudha, on October 10 submitted that the disqualified members, if any, should be stopped at the outer gate of Vidhana Soudha. But the meeting decided to allow them up to the outer gate of Assembly hall on the first floor.

The Marshal and the staff were entrusted with the job of stopping them at the outer gate and hand them over to the civil police. And, the Assembly secretariat were asked to serve disqualification orders at the entrance. But they could not do. “The Assembly Marshal and his staff left the place without performing the duties entrusted to them”, he said.
