The incident occurred on the bypass road at the Tungabhadra Dam Circle, when Ramarao was crossing the road and two of his friends had just reached the other side of the road.<br /><br />Arrested<br /><br />Police arrested Shivappa, the driver of the Toyota Prado, and released him on bail. The MLA gave a compensation of Rs 50,000 to the boy’s family on the spot.<br /></p>
