Child gets entangled in swing rope, dies

An 11-year-old child died of asphyxiation on Friday evening after she got entangled in the rope of a swing she was playing in, at Yenekal, in Kadaba taluk.

The deceased was a class five student of Government Higher Primary School. She was the daughter of Babu Ajila of Muthlajadka.

It was her birthday and she had remained at home. The tragedy occurred while she was playing in a swing.

Though she was rushed to a hospital, the doctors declared her brought dead.

A case has been registered at Subrahmanya Police Station.
