Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Monday there is no evidence to substantiate the charges against Justice K L Manjunath, who has been recommended for the post of Upalokayukta.
Speaking to Governor Vajubhai Vala at a meeting the chief minister said that the State government is in favour of Manjunath’s appointment as Upalokayukta since the charges against him are baseless.Siddaramaiah also extended Deepavali greetings to Vala, according to sources from the chief ministers office.
Governor Vajubhai Vala had sent back the file recommending the appointment of former Karnataka High Court judge Justice K L Manjunath as the Upalokayukta.
