Cops arrest one; solve B'lore car lifting case

A car lifted in Bangalore has been recovered with the arrest of a man in Mysore.

A police team attached to Kuvempunagar police station on Wednesday apprehended a man
near the ring road in their limits. He was trying to dispose off the Toyota Scorpio worth Rs
eight lakh when he fell in the police net.

The accused has been identified as Joji Thomas, son of Thomas K A, 36 years, working as marketing agent and resident of Kasargod in Kerala district.

The jeep belonging to G Chandrashekar of Bharat and Bharat Properties had been lifted
when the vehicle had been parked in front of the house in Giri Nagar in Channammana Kere Achchukattu police station limits in October last.

The accused had changed the number plate to that of a car, only to evade police, said a release from the office of police commissioner.

The police team  was led by Inspector K N Yashwanth Kumar, sub- inspector M Mahadevaiah among others.
