Attended by its general secretary A B Bardhan, the council also discussed about acquisition of farm land by the Government for development, nationalisation of mines, food security, trade union rights and others.
The council is likely to pass a resolutions on, among others, the price rise issue and would join hands with other left parties in their national wide protest in this regard.
