Ambika Group of Institutions will offer free education and stay for the children of Kashmiri Pandits who had undergone atrocities at the hands of insurgents.

Nattoja said he was moved by the plight of Kashmiri pandits after watching the film 'The Kashmir Files.'

Institutions secretary Subrahmanya Nattoja, treasurer Rajasri S Nattoja and Nattoja Foundation Trustee Vaidehi Nattoja had recently visited Jammu and Kashmir and met members of organisations belonging to Kashmiri Pandits.

Nattoja Foundation Trust runs Ambika Vidyalaya (CBSE), two Ambika PU Colleges and Ambika Degree College.

Free education will be imparted to the children of Kashmiri pandits from classes six to degree. Even stay will be offered free of cost. A few individuals and well-wishers in Puttur have also come forward to join hands with the institutions by providing free stay and food for Kashmiri pandit children in their houses in Puttur, said Subrahmanya Nattoja.

The cost of a student's education at the institution will be around Rs 80,000 and the facilities to be provided will cost Rs 50,000 in a year.

There are a few Kashmiri Pandits settled in Bengaluru. The scheme of free education is applicable to their children also, he added.
