Declare 5-km radius of S'belagola non-violence zone: Jain acharya

Acharya Pushpadanta Sagar Maharaj, on Saturday, urged the state government to declare the places adjoining Shravanabelagola, a non-violence zone.

During a discourse organised as part of Rajyabhisheka to the first Jain Tirthankara Adinatha, here, the Maharaj said, India got its name due to Bharata Chakravarthi and Jainism spread the peace message to the world.

Thus, five-kilometer radius from Shravanabelagola should be declared as non-violence zone.
