The department has fixed Rs 15 for first PU admission form.
In the wake of complaints from parents that Mahila Samaj College in the city was collecting Rs 50 (admission form Rs 15 and Rs 35 for prospectus), the Deputy Director took this decision.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Friday, he said “The colleges cannot collect more fee in the name of prospectus. They cannot force students to buy them. Only those interested can buy prospects,” he said.
He called upon the college authorities to put up a notice board stating buying prospectus is not mandatory.

Action against donation
Apart from fixed fees, the aided colleges cannot collect donation from students. Such complaints would be strictly dealt with. “If proved guilty, stringent action will be taken against such institutions,” he added.

It is sad that the parents do not come out in open and complain against the donation menace. This literally restricts the department from taking action against institutions, he observed. However, parents and students who are victims of donation menace can complain to Verma on 94488-96315.

In Chikkaballapur
The Balagangadharanatha Swamiji PU College Commerce section has put up a good show in the second PU results with 98.18 per cent. At the same time, the Science section has posted 90.32 per cent.
