Entry refused

The convention was held at Janardhana Swamy temple at Ujire. Ashraf Ali Kunhi (Acchu Mundaje), reporter from Kannada weekly ‘Suddi Bidugade’ was assigned to report the convention. The organisers refused to allow him, saying he belonged to the minority community.

I was turned back

Speaking to Deccan Herald Ashraf Ali said, “Though I kept repeating that I was a reporter for Suddi Bidugade for the past nine years, and was sent to cover the event, the organisers did not allow me to enter. I even showed them an invitation letter sent by the organisers, but they turned me back.
