In the last week of April, the Lok Sabha member is expected to stay in a village either in Ramanagaram or Mandya district.

No, this is not a political gimmick to expand party’s base in rural area by the former chief minister. But a stunt in front of a camera, shooting for Shivakashi, a Kannada movie. According to director of the movie Ram Prakash, Kumaraswamy had agreed to play the role of a Chief Minister in his movie. The cast of the movie include Ajith, Yogeesh, Manasi, Ananth Nag, Lakshmi and others.

The director said his movie revolved around the Cauvery river water sharing. “My story warranted a chief minister who stays in a village and listen to grievances of the public. Kumaraswamy as chief minister became popular with such a practice. I requested him to do the role in my movie,” he said.

Ram Prakash is expecting Kumaraswamy’s dates in the last week of April. He would also make a guest appearance in a song to be shot in the village. Kumaraswamy is no new person to movie land. He has been successful as a distributor and a producer. But he has never acted. However, Kumaraswamy was not available for his comments.
