ISIS is anti-Islamic group, says Beary Parishat chief

Last Updated 03 May 2019, 09:59 IST

Terrorist organisation ISIS, by spreading terror, has actually insulted Islam and it is anti-Islamic in reality, Akhila Bharatha Beary Parishat President B A Muhammed Hanif said on Thursday.

Hanif told mediapersons that the terror attacks in New Zealand, Sri Lanka and India have claimed lives of innocents. “The terror group ISIS, which has included the name of Islam region in its name, has actually gone against the values of Islam and is detrimental to the religion. In fact, terrorism itself is against the values of Islam. The main aspect of Islam is to spread peace and not terror. It is not right to blame a particular religion for the acts of terror,” he felt.

Hanif advised parents to keep an eye on the activities of their children.

Terror organisations misuse youths and make them scapegoats, he warned.

Akhila Bharatha Beary Parishat has appealed to religious heads of mosques to guide the youths and caution them about vested interests. Special lectures will be held in mosques during the holy month of Ramadan in this regard, he said.

Referring to ban on Burkhah, he said religious rights should not be snatched away from people.

He also felt that it is not right to conceal one’s identity using Burkhah with an intention to carry out heinous acts. The government should take strict action against those who misuse Hijab, he said.

Muslim Sanghatanegala Okkoota president K E Ashraf, Akhila Bharatha Beary Parishat vice president Yusuf Waqtar, secretary M S Siddique and treasurer Nisar Fakir Ahmed were present in the press meet.
