Ivory seized near M M Hills

The miscreants had stolen the ivory from a tusker that had died two weeks ago. Acting on information, Deputy Conservator of Forests Narayanaswamy had engaged the range forest officer to lead the operation. Later, Chief Conservator of Forests Ajay Mishra and Veterinarian Dr Nagaraj visited the spot and conducted the postmortem.

Later, the ivory was recovered. The search team comprised DCF Narayanswamy, M M Hills Sub-Division ACF B S Nagendrarao, Forest Mobile Squad T V Bhanuprakash and RFO Nanjundaiah.

 The DCF Narayanaswamy announced of giving rewards to those who give information to the department on stolen ivory and other forest related offences.
