<p>Bengaluru: Kannada lessons to be taught in Madrasas to strengthen communication and increase harmony, said Dr Purushottam Bilimale, President of Kannada Development Authority. </p><p>Speaking at the launch of a Kannada language workshop for around 180 teachers working in madrasas, Dr Bilimale said, “No community should be subject to humiliation through language. Any community that learns the state language gains the spirit to live harmoniously in the land they reside. Hence, it is vital for minorities to learn Kannada.”</p><p>Dr Bilimale urged Minority Welfare Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan to bring the Urdu Academy under the Department of Kannada and Culture without undermining its autonomy. </p>.Heartfelt tribute to Kittel, iconic Kannada lexicographer .<p>The KDA is working on publishing 100 books under the title, "Foundations of Kannada Linguistic Harmony" for student communities, which will be released soon, he added.</p><p>Chairman of the Minorities Commission, U Nisar Ahmed, announced that the KDA will soon initiate Kannada learning in all 2,000 madrasas across the state and the syllabus will be printed by the authority as well.</p><p>Zameer Ahmed Khan assured that necessary arrangements would definitely be made in this regard.</p>
