The report of the State Minorities Commission on Wakf Board, which has been rejected, might gain prominence again with Minorities Welfare and Wakf Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan saying that he would study the report and take suitable action.

Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Khan said, “It’s a fact that wakf properties have been encroached upon. This is God’s property. The guilty will not be forgiven. There might be temporary hurdles. Nobody will be spared, even if they are from the Congress party. I am even willing to forsake my post for the sake of justice.”

The report furnished by former Commission chairperson Anwar Manippady, a BJP leader, was rejected by the previous Congress regime.
