Marathon on World Aids Day

Podar International School, Mangaluru, will organise a marathon on December 1 on the occasion of World Aids Day.

Addressing reporters in Mangaluru on Monday, Podar International School principal T Srinivas Raju said that Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath will flag-off the marathon.

Bunts alias Nadavara Mathru Sangha president Ajit Kumar Rai Maladi, Unity Hospital chairman Habeeb Reham and Podar International School, Karnataka region, assistant general manager Samson Roy will be present.

The reporting time for participants will be 5.30 am. The participants may register by paying Rs 100 per person.

Marathon for men will be of 10 km. The marathon will start from the institution campus and will pass through Kottara Road, Lady Hill Circle and will reach Podar International school.

For women, the marathon will be of 5 km and will start from the institution premises. The marathon will pass through Kottara Road, Urwa Bus Stand and will reach the school.

The winner and runner-up in both the categories will be awarded a trophy, cash prize and certificate.

School administrative officer Nithesh K, Podar Jumbo Kids headmistress Reema R Nayak and Podar International School physical education trainer Chandrahasa P were present in the press meet.
