Milagres church centenary celebrations from today

As part of the celebration, various programmes have been chalked out for the year, said Parish Priest Fr Walter D’Mello.

Addressing a press meet on Friday, he said a blood donation camp will be organised at Milagres Jubilee hall in which 100 donors will take part on the occasion.  On January 24, a diocesan-level inter-parish sports meet will be held.

Publicity Committee Convener Deepak D’Souza said as part of the celebration eight houses will be constructed and give to poor.  The foundation stone for the housing project will be laid at Bondel on February 14.

About 100 poor persons will be given financial assistance to renovate the houses.
A mass marriage will be conducted at Hulsoor, Mission station in Gulbarga diocese on April 28.

He said as part of the celebration, 100 poor students will be given financial assistance of Rs 5,000 each and 100 disabled students will also be given Rs 5,000 each.  Health camp, awareness programme on rainwater harvesting, alcoholic anonymous and other programmes have also been chalked out.
