Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel called on Union Minister for Road Transport and National Highways Nitin Gadkari, on Wednesday.
Kateel appealed the minister to invite tender for various road connectivity projects, connecting Mangaluru Port Road under Bharatmala at a cost of Rs 924 crore, and also Mangaluru Port connectivity Road from Surathkal to BC Road at a cost of Rs 299 crore.
He also urged the minister to lay the foundation for the Kulai fishing harbour in Mangaluru at the earliest.
The MP has appealed the Minister to call a meeting with Navayug company, to accelerate the construction of flyovers at Pumpwell and Thokkottu and stop collecting toll until the construction of flyovers is completed.
He also appealed to the minister to invite tender for four-laning of the road from Kulshekar to Karkala.
