Navodaya school staff stage stir, demand pension

Association President P M Isac said the Navodaya Vidyalaya comes under department of Human Resouces Development of the Central government. Navodaya institutions aim at imparting quality education to the children from backward community and rural areas. The teachers and staff who are working hard in making the institute number one are denied of pension facilities.

“We work with the children 24 hours and get good results. However, now the teachers are worried over their future owing to the denial of pension schemes. There is no security for the job.”  He said Kendriya Vidyalaya employees, Tibetan school employees are getting pension. Though Y N Chaturvedi Committee and several parliamentary committees had recommended for the pension facilities, government has failed to heed to our demands. If the government fail to respond to our demands, then we will go for indefinite protest from December 1.
