Nitte inks pact with bioinnovation centre

Nitte (Deemed to be University) signed a MoU with Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC), an initiative of Karnataka Innovation and Technology Services (KITS), Department of IT, BT and Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka, recently.

The MoU was signed by Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, vice chancellor, Nitte (Deemed to be University) and Dr Jitendra Kumar, managing director, Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre. The MoU focuses on facilitating translational research and development of entrepreneurship, training of students and researchers in Chemo Informatics, drug development and advanced instrumentation. It also envisages the exchange of students for the purpose of knowledge sharing. It will also focus on exploring the possibility of recognising Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre as a doctoral study centre of Nitte (Deemed to be University).

Dr Jitendra Kumar extended the training facility of the BBC to the research community of Nitte (Deemed to be University) with a strong base for developing entrepreneurship. DH News Service
