Senior advocate B B Madappa said students should choose postgraduate courses with utmost care.

Speaking at the Open House programme organised at Field Marshal K M Cariappa College (FMKMC) here on Saturday, he said all the educational institutions offer courses. “The quality of education should be looked into,” he suggested.

Economics Department Head T D Thimmaiah said that the Open House programme aims to provide first-hand information to students,
their parents and guardians about the programmes offered in the college.

Students and their parents visited the postgraduate departments, interacted with faculty, understood the scope and job prospects in each programme, the research that is being carried out and saw the infrastructure, laboratories and computational facilities.

The FMKMC offers six PG programmes. All the books are available in the college library. Free internet service facility is also available, said Librarian Vijayalatha.

Principal Dr Parvathi Appayya was present.
