Parameshwara resigns as MLC

Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara on Thursday resigned as the Member of Legislative Council (MLC).

He had won from Koratagere assembly constituency in the recently held Assembly election. Parameshwara submitted his resignation letter to legislative council Chairman D H Shankarmurthy.

Parameshwara still holds the post of State Congress president.

On Wednesday, Parameshwara sworn-in as deputy chief minister along with chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.
