The city police took hundreds of farmers into custody for blocking the Mysuru-Bengaluru national highway at the Outer Ring Road here on Friday.
The farmers hit the streets and raised slogans against the state and Union government in opposition to the amendments to the Land Reforms Act and the APMC Act.
The police took the protestors into custody when they refused to pay heed after being told to not disturb the traffic movement by blocking the highway.
