The officials visited Beetige village in Charmadi and convinced the villagers to withdraw their decision to boycott the election.

The villagers had decided to boycott the election following lack of facilities. The officials promised to respond to the woes of the residents.

The residents of Beetige and Annaru SC Colony had decided to boycott the election as the road leading to the colony was in a pathetic condition.

The apathy of officials towards repairing the retaining wall of a lake that had caved in, had also irked the residents. The residents had also urged the officials to repair water tank at Katharigudde.

Election official H K Nayak, Tahsildar Ganapathi Shastri and others visited the villagers.
