The state government has suspended two the public servants raided by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for disproportionate assets.

Sources in the ACB confirmed that N G Gowdaiah, an engineer with the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) and T R Swamy, Chief Development Officer of Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Authority (KIADB) have been placed under suspension.

Meanwhile, ACB officials questioned Gowdaiah on Wednesday. "We have questioned him on certain documents, other than properties seized from the premises searched during the raid. After the questioning is completed on these documents, proforma will be given to the accused to reply on their assets and liabilities,’’ an official said.

Sources said that the documents found from the house of Gowdaiah include those relating to tenders for certain BDA projects. One set of documents has revealed the name of the owner of a construction company, who was booked by the CBI during the post demonetisation period.
